MacKenzie Scott is a philanthropist, writer and ex-wife of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, who has been married for 25 years. MacKenzie Scott was born on April 7, 1970 in San Francisco, California. She attended the Hotchkiss School in Connecticut and then went on to graduate with a degree in English at Princeton University in 1992. She studied well and was an assistant for, noted author Toni Morrison. Also, she has published two novels.

In August 2020, she was chosen to serve as his running mate by presumptive presidential candidate Joseph Biden. In May 2011, before the end of Dominique Strauss-Kahn's term as Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, Christine Lagarde was named as the successor. On June 28, 2011, Christine Lagarde was elected CEO of the International Monetary Fund, although she is not an economist and has no banking experience. She became president of the European Central Bank in October 2019. Christine Lagarde was the first woman president of the European Central Bank.

The two met while they was studying at university. They live in Northville, Detroit, with their two children. She has held various positions ranging from General Director of Internal Communications to Plant Manager. Finally, Barra was appointed CEO of GM on December 10, 2013 and she was the first female head of an automobile manufacturer in the United States.
